Talking about the weather...
Have you ever noticed that weather forecasters are quite fond of "record high" temperatures and "record low" temperatures, but seldom mention the "record high low" or "record low high" temperatures? I understand that in general the "record high" and "record low" are more useful, but why avoid these other two bits of information? I would think that the "record low high" would be useful in depicting days where the temperature never rose above a certain level, while the "record high low" would be useful for days where the temperature never got below a certain level. Is the general public just too feeble-minded to understand such abstract reasoning? Perhaps a weather person somewhere has delivered this type of information, but it's got to be a rare instance. If you've encountered such weather statistics, let me know.
